Yes, it’s time to get back to revising the last two String Weaver books. Today started with going through the revision notes for book 6, familiarize myself with them, and organize them into a proper order. So far, I’m not seeing any huge changes in the book other than an addition of a few scenes. The rest are notes of what needs to be shown, said, and character development.
I also reset the Manuscript folder in Scrivener (while saving the first draft pristine, of course) and set up the folders and files that will eventually become the chapters and scenes for the finished book.
Deadline for this book is the end of August. I would love to finish it before then, but we’ll have to see if I can. Other things are going on in life, as can be expected with Mother Hen battling a glioblastoma brain tumor. The monthly 5-day maintenance chemo treatment has turned out to be at a much higher dose than what she was on for the full month of May. As such, it pretty much wipes her out during and just after, which means a lot of extra work for me.
In any case, I’m looking forward to immersing myself in to the last two books. A lot happen in both of them. It should be a fun ride!
A good chunk of revision today, amounting to over 10k. That’s on top of writing over 2000 of new words on a new project, AND revising a short story.
Yes, a productive day. 😀
