I know many writers struggle with the middle of books. Feel that is where the story really drags down.
I’m happy to say that I don’t have this issue. I love the middles. The introductions are done, the main settings are set, and now it’s time to get into the nitty-gritty of the story! The middles are where anything can happen. This is where most of the story is told.
Things to go wrong! Chaos ensues! Big decisions are made! The characters show what they are really made of!
The revision has officially hit the middle, which is probably why today’s revision session went so well. Some sections didn’t need much work at all, which is always a nice surprise. In the morning I’ll go through my revision notes one more time to make sure I included everything in this section. Just to be sure.
But, overall? Very happy with how it’s going!
