Day 10 Wordcount: 1812 (Glint of an Artifact, Short Story #3)
Last line written tonight: He curled even tighter around the satchel and the spilled contents as thunder and more lightening played across the heavens above him.
We’re back in the writing groove today! It’s amazing what a little sleep and a good dinner can do.
The so-called short story is now over 4000 words and still climbing. It’s nearing the half-way point, which means it’s aiming to be another novelette.
Good news: I’ve been wanting to write this story, and this month it will definitely be finished.
Bad news: All these novelettes mean I might not make the 10-story mark.
Can I count each novelette as 2 short stories? Huh? Can I?
Okay, off to bed. Tomorrow I attack again!
The challenge in question is the Forward Motion May “Story-A- Day” challenge. See my previous post about the rules. The goal is to achieve the 10 short story level.
