Another Short Story Finished!

Day 16 Wordcount: 6118 (The Flying Dutchman of the Spacelanes, Short Story #5)

Don’t ask me how this happened. I suddenly had an idea about the main character, and I was off! No word wars, no outline, just plain typing.

I haven’t even finished story #4 yet. Need to go back and finish it, but this one day side-diversion was completely worth it. Another story finished, and a longer one at that.

I love it when an idea strikes out of the blue and won’t leave me alone until all of it is on the page. What a rush! 🙂

The challenge in question is the Forward Motion May “Story-A- Day” challenge. See my previous post about the rules. The goal is to achieve the 10 short story level.

  1. Yay to you. I’m “slogging” along at roughly 1500 words a day of my current WIP. I’d love to write a short story again but at the moment I’m just too busy.

  2. “The Flying Dutchman of the Spacelanes” Okay, I will sooo want to see this. The Dutchman is one of my favorite operas.

    • And of last night I think I was warned. Polish it up and get it up… or else! 😉

Glad you liked the concept. Hopefully you’ll like what I did with it.
