“Coffee Cup Dreams” Has A New Cover!

2012 is a year of many changes. Not only am I writing and revising more than ever, I’m also looking back on what I did in 2011 to see if I can make it better. Specifically the stories already out there.

I’m in the slow and detailed process of getting several books ready for print. [...]

Expanded Distribution Through Apple

On Tuesday October 4th, Smashwords announced that the Apple iBookstore was expanding Smashwords ebook distribution into 26 more countries. This is very exciting news, as these markets are largely untouched when it comes to the ebook revolution. As time goes on they could start to make up a larger and larger percentage of sales. Added [...]

Author Insecurities and the Issue of Pricing

This week was going to be a post about Nano prep, but, well…

This week there were many good blog posts by other authors I followed. Part of the fun is to read the comments. And some of the comments had me rolling my eyes to the point it could have been physically damaging. What [...]

The Myth of the Author Online Presence

It’s a subject I would love for Dean Wesley [...]

Distribution Channel: Smashwords Pt 2

The first three we went over last week. Now [...]

Distribution Channel: Smashwords Pt 1

I promised a post about Smashwords and here it is! A word of warning: this turned out to be a little long, but there’s a lot of information to cover. So much so that I had to split it up into two posts.

Smashwords. The ebook etailer and distributor that either has authors/publishers smiling or [...]

Amazon Author Central

To aid authors and provide more information about authors to readers, Amazon has what are called ‘Author Pages’. This is a place for a simple bio, an avatar icon, social media feeds (such as for blogs and twitter), and a full listing of books by that author.

As a reader I like them because I [...]

Start-Out Sales Numbers

The publishing adventure has started!

Did I come shooting out of the gate with big sales? Nope, and I didn’t expect to.

Started out with “Spires” (a short story) February 13, and “Glint of a Suncatcher” (a novelette) on the 26th. They were available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Smashwords right from the start.
